This album has been gestating a long time. To some extent, this was one of those "life got in the way" moments, as I was very busy with other priorities for all of 2024 and part of 2025.

Also, I wanted to move this work in a more experimental direction, exploring musical ideas that have been bubbling away in my subconscious for the last several decades. But, I still wanted to retain a high degree of listenability. Plus, I wanted it to be thematically consistent, which took the entire album off into some very interesting directions. Because of all those, it stretched my technique in multiple directions.

Each track therefore took a lot of time for it to reveal itself to me, and several were rewritten almost from scratch several times, which explains why the whole thing has taken close to two years - even allowing for taking about a year off.

I hope that this material sings to you in the same way that it has to me.
